Federal Council adopts dispatch on social security agreement with the Republic of Moldova
At its meeting on 9 September 2026, the Federal Council adopted the dispatch on the approval of the agreement between Switzerland and the Republic of Moldova on social security and submitted it to Parliament. The agreement coordinates the social security systems of the two contracting states in the areas of old-age, survivors' and disability benefits, and in particular regulates the payment of pensions in the other contracting state. The agreement was signed on 2 June 2025. Before it can enter into force, it must first be approved by the parliaments of both contracting states
